Today's Text: Psalm 121:1-8
Key Verse: Psalm 121:2 (ESV): "My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth."

Psalm 121 is a beautiful expression of trust in God's divine help in which the psalmist reminds us that our help comes from no other source but from the Lord, who is the Creator of heaven and earth. This psalm encourages us to look nowhere else except to God for help, protection, and guidance in all aspects of our lives. If God will not help a man, who or what else could? This exclusive truth echoes throughout Scripture, reminding us of our utter dependence on Almighty God. When we face challenges that seem insurmountable, when troubles surround us, and when all hope appears lost, we must remember that our help comes from the Lord alone. No human effort, no earthly resource, and no worldly wisdom can substitute for God's divine intervention. None!
If He does not help us, we are truly without hope. But, praise be to God, He is always willing to help, and His power is limitless. If only we all learn to trust in the one in whom alone we may always be saved; one whom once He is for us, no one can be against us. As followers of Christ, we are not alone in our journey. We have a heavenly Father who is always with us; and always willing and able to help us. In times of trouble, we can call upon Him, knowing that He will answer us. The importance of divine help can never be overemphasized. It is the recognition that we are not self-sufficient, but rather, we need God's help to navigate life's challenges. Those who trust in God's divine help can face any challenge with confidence and boldness knowing that whenever they call upon Him, He will answer.
Action Steps: Ask God to give you the faith to trust in His divine help. Recognize your need for God's help in all aspects of your life. Call upon God in times of trouble, knowing that He will answer you. Surround yourself with supportive fellow believers who can encourage and strengthen you.
Quote for the Day: "Divine help is not a last resort, but a first response to life's challenges." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Let Us Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today, asking for the faith to trust in Your divine help. Help me to recognize my need for Your help in all aspects of my life. Give me the confidence to call upon You in times of trouble, knowing that You will answer me — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.
