Our Text: 1 Chronicles 4:1-10
Key Verse: 1 Chronicles 4:10 (KJV): “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”
It is always man’s privilege to petition God for all of our troubles. This includes not only to see our desires fulfilled, but to avert any contrary system or sentence that imposes negativity and judgment upon us. Jabez actually bears a curse as a name. He was literally called "he will cause pain." For that’s what Jebez means. His mother casted the painful shadow of his birth upon him because she bore him in pain. Jabez understood that no force or medium could change that curse except God. Therefore, he submitted his life and woes to the authority of God. When we pray, we can reverse any wicked satanic imposition that we suffer; we can remove any moral or social tag by divine intervention. If you have been or are being labeled as if you’d bring nothing but pain to your family, age and generation, remember a more severe sentence was passed over Jabez, but he didn't live that way. He undo the curse and achieved a more honorable place among his brethren. You too can repeal the label and rise above them.
Quote for the Day: “No judicial or legislative authority exist to dislodge any sentence of low self-esteem and wrong identity passed by confessional or spiritual labeling. They only break on the bent knees of prayer.” (Simon Olatunji)
Prayer: Lord, repeal every prophetic pronouncements working against me, my household and destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.
With all my love and prayer,
