Today’s Text: Proverbs 3:1-12

Key Verse: Proverbs 3:5 (ESV): "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”

The theme of trusting in the Lord with all our hearts is a central idea in the Bible. It means relinquishing control and surrendering to God's sovereignty. It is believing in His goodness, love, and divine plan a d having faith in His guidance and wisdom. God wants us to depend on Him in all circumstances, not just when it's convenient. He wants us to seek His will and direction in every aspect of life

Trusting in the Lord is the wisest thing to do during this untoward generation. It is a survival strategy for the last day. This is because trusting in God's promises and provision brings us security and peace, which are in Him alone. It brings wisdom and discernment; leads to a peaceful and secure life; results in a life that honors God; provides strength in times of trial; and allows us to rest in His care.

This trust does not mean the absence of doubts or questions but the willingness to surrender to God's love and sovereignty. Unfortunately, we often lean on our own understanding rather than trusting in God. Among the various reasons we do that are: our pride and self-reliance, fear and uncertainty, lack of faith or doubt, worldly wisdom or being wise in one's own eyes, seeking personal control, past experiences, human nature, lack of spiritual growth, and peer pressure or societal expectations.

One more thing to always remember is that trusting God is a journey that requires growth, surrender, and a deepening relationship with Him. You can never trust Him enough. You trusted him yesterday and got yourself a victory; that victory should spur you to trust Him more for the next level victory.

Quote for the Day: "Trust God to write and rewrite your story. He's a better author than you are. The more you trust Him, the more you'll see His handwriting in your life." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)

Prayer: Dear Lord, I come to you with a humble heart and open hands. I surrender my life, my worries, and my doubts to you. I trust in your goodness, your love, and your plan for my life. Please guide me with your wisdom, comfort me with your peace, and strengthen me with your grace. Help me to see things from your perspective and to trust in your sovereignty. Give me wisdom, discernment, and faith to trust in you daily and more deeply — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.

With all my love and prayers,
