Today’s Scripture Threshing for Wednesday, May 22, 2019
Today’s Text: Psalm 30:1-7
Key Verse: Psalm 30:5 (ESV): ”For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
Have you ever felt like you’re going through a 360 degree turn, and each time you spin around you feel something is broken, or late, or wrong, or missed, or missing? Have you become totally jolted to a corner in which you feel all hope was lost? And you feel the shadow of the night so much that it even seems like the darkness itself has turned its back on you?
No matter who you are, or what the issues are, there’s a good news here: the morning comes! Never has nights come to lodge with us. No matter how dark, scary and gloomy—morning comes. Regardless of the gloom and reproach; even if you feel all hell has been let lose! May be health has given place to sickness—yet light can shine. Prosperity may have failed and yielded itself to adversity—lift your head, the morning you seek is dawning. Joy, by all means and standards, may have given way to sorrow — arise, your light has come! Do you feel cast down and in trouble because God is hiding his face from you? God is not angry with you forever. His anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. If you embrace is love and cry to Him, He will help you.

Prayer: Dear Lord, Whenever you turn your face and I am troubled, teach me to realize that you’re not limited by time, season or direction. Let this truth shine the morning light upon my heart, in Jesus name. Amen.
