Today’s Text: Zechariah 4:1-14
Key Verse: Zechariah 4:7 (ESV): "Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
While preparing for this month, the Lord spoke to us that it's going to be a month in which, through divine power, we'd take new mountain. We have started exercising the authority to claim our mountains or new mountains through prayer. Hiwever, we are not ignorant of some nagative mountains that may want to stand before us and what God so desires for us His people.
To get this, it will help us more if we read Zechariah 4:6-7 in today's tone. It will sound like: "Hey, mountain! You think you're big and intimidating? Well, let me tell you something: you're about to become a flat plain! Not because of my own strength or power, but because of the Holy Spirit's mighty work. As I declare, 'Grace, grace!' Just watch as God's power levels you out!"
In this context, mountains symbolize obstacles and challenges that seem insurmountable. They are strongholds and fortresses of the enemy (e.g., fear, doubt, anxiety) stationed before us to stop us from taking our mountains. And they are always exerggerated to scare us off from taking the real heights. And, they are always seemingly impossible situations that require divine intervention.
The good news is, regardless of how great they seem, we can "move" these mountains when we pray boldly and declare God's promises over those circumstances. No obstacle can withstand the believers' trust in the Holy Spirit's power and guidance. When we stand on God's Word and faithfulness and speak life and grace into seemingly hopeless situations: impossible things happen. Difficult mountains give way. Terrific Red Sea part ways.
Only remember that it's not about our own strength or abilities - it's about accessing the divine power God has granted us through His Spirit! I am excited, today, to tell you that you have access to an incredible divine power. O yes! God has granted you power to challenge any obstacle: “Who are you, O mountain? You shall become a plain land, in Jesus's Name!"
Quote for the Day: "All.challenging mountains are moved by the faith that harnesses the power of God, the potency of prayer, and the potential within." (Simon Olatunji #quotablequote)
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank You for your Spirit's presence and power at work in me. I receive, by the same Spirit, the strength and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to crush negative mountains and take my new mountains and possess the gates of my enemies — in Jesus's most glorious name. Amen.
With all my love and prayers,
