Why Some Seekers Are Not Saved

Daily Scripture Threshing for Tuesday, March 24, 2020

Today’s Text: Isaiah 59:1-9

Key Verse: Isaiah 59:1 (ESV): ”Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear.”

God is turning our searchlights on a scripture that we all probably needed most at this time. Previous to this, in Isaiah 58:3, God’s people had murmured that the glorious promises were not being fulfilled. But the prophet’s declaration implied the needed answer both to them and all complainant generations. It’s high time we stopped murmuring against God because the hindrances to promised divine helps are all on our side.

Today’s text pictures a moment in history in which channels of divine communication were closed except to a few who showed themselves upright before Jehovah. O how history is repeating itself in our age. The channels seems closed and we are having to deal with so much falsehood and fables We celebrate inherited recorded stories of divine salvation, healing, deliverance and genuine divine revival but where are they in our days? We wandered so far away from God and failed to see the connection between our sins our the divine disfavor of the moment.

Quote for the Day: "I see a wisdom in this season: if God ever withdraws His light in one moment; despite all our electrical or solar revolutions, our planet will be in a colossal grope in palpable darkness.” (Simon Olatunji)

Prayer: Father, in your judgement, please remember mercy inJesus Christ name, Amen

With all my love and prayer,
